Our Master of Ceremonies: Carl Welden
As a performance artist Carl Welden has appeared throughout the Hudson Valley region as well as across the U.S. and Europe since 1995. He is currently a voice over artist, performance artist, core member of the Arm Of The Sea mask and puppet theater troupe, and emcee. “The musical, maskful, consciosly schizophrenic shapeshifting of local lycanthrope Carl Welden is known to leave his audiences hooting with laughter, weeping with revelation and cheering for encores. You will be mesmerized by his talent for melding the bizarre with the uplifting” -Brian Mahoney, Editor CHRONOGRAM magazine

Connecting to the Spirit of the Trees

Music of Plants
Music of the plants is a form of expression, beauty and artistry like no other. It is an instrument made just for the plant world. A patented technology that transforms the biorhythms of plants and trees into a musical performance to listen to and interact with.
This amazing device is created by the eco-society Damanhur in the Italian alps. It measures the electrical impulses of a plant through 2 probes that are connected to a leaf and a root. These impulses are turned into notes, so we can literally hear a Plant “sing” or play music. It is a very magical experience.
Bring your own houseplant and a recording device or just come and bathe in the healing tones. Bring a blanket/yoga matt or a pillow for your comfort.
Music of the plants will be Facilitated by Gisela Stromeyer. Gisela is an architect and dancer by training. Connecting to the Spirit of the Trees
Without those things we call “trees,” where would we be? What do they have to teach us? This is a playful workshop for connecting with and honoring the great mystery and Spirit of Trees – through the eyes of a child – using breath, rhythm, song, poetry, movement and play. Good for kids of all ages. No experience required.
